Bills are presented to the President for action when approved in identical form by both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Joint Resolutions.

Joint resolutions may originate either in the House of Representatives or in the Senate. There is little practical difference between a bill and a joint resolution.

Both are subject to the same. The Senate's Calendar of Business is updated each day the Senate is in session. The calendar, composed of several sections, identifies bills and resolutions awaiting Senate floor actions.

Most measures are placed on the calendar under the heading "General Orders" in the sequence in. After a bill has been favorably reported and is on either the House or Union Calendar, the Speaker may, after consultation with the Minority Leader, file with the Clerk a notice requesting that such bill also be placed upon a special calendar known as the Corrections Calendar.

And then once a bill has been agreed to in identical form by both houses, the next phase is enrollment, for presentation to the President.
